Archives

The South Carolina Archives has provided a great page listing Genealogy Resources at the Archives. It lists the records most useful for finding ancestors. Many of these records have online indexes where researchers can type in their ancestor's name. Services include a research room, research by the  reference staff and the sale of photocopies. The procedure is to fill out a Research Request From and wait for their response which if include the price of photocopies if a record is found.
