May 11, 1685 Deacon Parks ob. and Goodman Woodward of Dedham, father to the minister.
May 13, 1685 Rev. Cooton Mather ordained.
June 8, 1685 Rev. Thomas Sheppard of Charleston, ob. He was ordained May 5, 1680.
June 13, 1685 Captain Benjamin Gillum buried.
July 4, 1685 Isaac Woode dies suddenly.
July 5, 1685 Mr. Sherman the father taken delirous in Sudbury pulpit. Mr. Samuel Epps died in London in April 1685.

December 9, 1685 Gamaliel Wait died suddenly, age 87. Lately had several new teeth. Neighbour to Judge Sewal.
December 16, 1685 Church gathered at Dunstable and Rev. Thomas Weld, ordained.
December 18, 1685 Father John Odlin dies; one of the first inhabitants of Boston. The oldest save the Governour.
January 22, 1686 Joseph Redknap died at Lynn aged about 110.
February 3, 1686 Ensign Henry Phillips buried.
March 11, 1686 James Morgan executed for murder of Joseph Johnson.
March 28, 1686 Letter received from Malden, directed to the church in Boston, desiring counsel respecting their pastor (Mr. Thomas Cheever) who is charged with scandalous immoralities for which he hath not given satisfaction.
