History of Royalton, Vermont
with Family Genealogies 1769-1911
by Evelyn M. Wood Lovejoy
Now published on CD by Ancestor Publishers
Order # CD0209

This history begins with the early days when Royalton was first settled. It tells of the first settlers,  the Indian raids,  the social events such as husking parties and quilting bees, the churches, roads, the poor, the cemeteries, hotels, the militia, and so on. As the author tells the history of Royalton,  she also talks about the people. Many names are mentioned in this history. Some of the history reads like biographies, giving genealogical information. There are also many illustrations.
