Seventh-Day Baptist Church Records, 1767-1886 Salemville, South Woodbury Township, Bedford, Pennsylvania copied by James Boor pub. on CD by Ancestor Publishers Order # AP0003

The records of this church have been lost. Fortunately a copy of the original German record was made in 1937, and is reproduced here, translated into English. Births are recorded 1767-1884, grouped by family; deaths, some also grouped by family, are given for 1814-1886.

There are more than just names and dates in some of this. Page 67 is the report of the reburial of the family of Abraham Longnecker, some had been buried for over 26 years, giving condition of the bodies. Also we have an account of the death of Abraham Lincoln and the King of Sweden, shot in 1799 and more, which for some reason were included in the local records. Cause of death is sometimes given in the burial section.
