Back to Ancestor Publisher's Store. ![]() The author, Benjamin Calvin Couch was born in Boscawen, New Hampshire on September 18, 1822. Later he moved to Tiskilwa, Bureau County, Illinois where he raised his family and where he died. When he was 59 years old, he sat down on the last day of the year and began a history of his family. The original was most likely handwritten, however the copy I have is typed. I suppose it was typed by Minnie and Mammie Couch (twins), his granddaughters and from whom my grandmother, Clara Catherine (Couch) Clint obtained a copy. It is a treasure in our family since it contains stories and details about our ancestors. In addition to the history, I have included the pictures of several of the family members in the Couch line. These can be viewed as a slide show as well as in the main PDF file. Donna K. Clark Contents:

For a number of years he worked rented farms, resulting in a good deal of hard work and but little profit. He is energetic and persevering; more nervous and fiery than Charles, but still warm hearted and kind. He is now located on a good homestead, miles west of Ogallala, Keith county, Nebraska. His future looks encouraging. In theology and politics about the same as Dion and Charles. About this CD: The book is presented with Adobe Acrobat for PCs and MACs. There are 72 pages on the CD.
